Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your institution's ("you", "your", "the Institution") access to and use of the ClassBuddy platform and mobile app, operated by ClassBuddy ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using ClassBuddy, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

ClassBuddy is a management platform for language institutes and tutoring centers, covering student enrolment, scheduling, attendance, homework, grades, billing, and parent/student communication, delivered via a web dashboard and mobile app.

2. Your Institution's Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter into ClassBuddy, for managing the accounts of your staff, students and parents, for obtaining any consents required by law before enrolling a student (see our Privacy Policy), and for keeping your login credentials secure.

3. Subscriptions, Billing and Payment

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as shown on our pricing page at the time of purchase. Annual plans are billed once a year at the discounted annual rate. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. Online payments collected from parents/students through the platform are processed by Stripe directly into your institution's connected account — ClassBuddy does not hold or take custody of those funds.

4. Free Demo

We may offer a free, no-obligation demo of the platform. A demo does not create a paid subscription and carries no commitment on either side unless you separately sign up for a paid plan.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ClassBuddy to store or transmit unlawful content, to attempt to access another institution's data, to interfere with the platform's normal operation, or to reverse-engineer the software. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this section.

6. Data Ownership

Your institution owns the data you enter into ClassBuddy. We process it on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Data Processing Agreement.

7. Intellectual Property

ClassBuddy, its software, design and branding are owned by us. These Terms don't transfer any ownership of the platform to you — you're granted a right to use it for your institution's operations for as long as your subscription is active.

8. Service Availability

We aim to keep ClassBuddy available and reliable, with regular backups, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access on Basic or Professional plans. A formal SLA (service level agreement) is available on our Enterprise plan — contact us for details.

9. Cancellation and Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these Terms or non-payment, with reasonable notice where practical. On termination, data is handled as described in our Data Processing Agreement.

10. Limitation of Liability

ClassBuddy is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or matters that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of ClassBuddy after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
